How to Play
Welcome to Power of Ten, an amazing space simulation roguelike-type game where you will need to destroy a powerful army of alien enemies before they completely overrun all the inhabited planets in the universe.
Basics
When you first spawn in the middle of an unknown space, you will have the possibility to adapt to the movement of the ship in its environment.
- Use the WASD controls to move your ship in the screen, while using the mouse to point in the direction the ship will face/shoot at.
- Use the Spacebar or Left Click in your mouse to shoot your main weapon
- Press Shift to use your Ship Skill
- Press E to use your Support Weapon
In-game elements
Portals
The Portals are one of the environmental elements of the game, and they are of great importance to manage to cover huge distances to defend planets from incoming attacks. Portals allow you to fast-travel from one to another one by interacting with them ([F] key, by default) and then selecting the destination portal you want to jump to.
Ammo Boxes
The Ammo Boxes are one of the elements of the game. This item can be dropped by enemies or obtained by exchange or completing missions. Each box of these will replenish a certain amount of your current weapon ammunition when you pick them up.
Item Boxes
The Item Boxes are one of the elements of the game. These boxes contain different types of rewards that will help you upgrade your ship, improve your economy, and many more. The Item Boxes are divided into 4 Tiers, each one with a different box color and with an increased percentage of higher rarity drops. These boxes are mainly obtained as a reward after you activate an orbital shield in any level.
Upgrade Collectibles
The Upgrade Collectibles are a consumable collectible that allows for the immediate upgrade of your ship. After interacting with this collectible, a selection screen will be displayed, showing 3-4 upgrade options from which you can select only one to proceed. The upgrades will improve your gameplay in various ways, from improving your ship's survivability to augmenting your resource gains or the side effects of your weapons. Choose wisely, and use them well to improve your chances of surviving against the Deadeye!
Rotary Rings Puzzle
The Rotary Rings Puzzle is one of the puzzles you will find in the game. Complete it by rotating the three rings it has to form a clean shape of intertweened circles and lines (see left image) to unlock a prize in the form of upgrade collectibles, credits or resources at random.
